Bored Update

Fri Jun 12, 2009, 8:15 PM
  • Mood: Peaceful
  • Reading: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Watching: The Rockies...lame.
Yeah, I'm bored. Plus, I'm tired of looking at that other journal on my front page. Come to think of it, I'm tired of seeing my same old deviations on my page, too, but I don't have much to update with.

Actually, I have been comissioned to do some tattoo work and album art, so we'll see if I can upload those sometime. The tattoo that I did for a friend of the family's is a REALLY sick-looking skull. But it's still in sketch-mode so I'll have to fix that up first...or just throw it into scraps or something. Heh, I haven't put ANYTHING in scraps in forever. I just feel like if it's not good enough to go in my real gallery, it shouldn't be there at all. Meh, that's just me.
I may start uploading chapters of my story soon, but I know that the minute I do that I'll start to lose interest. It's like my story curse, or something: the minute I upload a fanfic or original anywhere, it dies...Well, there was one exception when I used to have a Fanfiction.net account, but that still didn't last very long. It was like...maybe ten to twelve chapters, I don't remember. That was years ago. But I may chance it anyway, just for the sake of bringing some life to my profile page, which is SO....dead. I'm still working some kinks out of the few chapters that I have so far, but if I do upload, you guys will just have to tell me what I need to fix/add/subtract.

So else is new? Maybe I didn't address this in the last journal, but I'll say it anyway. I lost my job, but I think I may have a new one here soon. It's not much, but it's something.
Also, this is my last week before I'm on summer break, thankfully. Three weeks of doing....nothing, unless I have that job. Ah well.

On a side note, anyone see the costume designs that they have for the Avatar movie? I'm a big skeptic of any cartoon turning into a feature film, but I have to say that for what I've seen so far, it looks really good. That being said, all I've really seen is some set and costume designs. But he costumes are awesome. I wish they could have cast someone older for Aang, though. I mean, I know he's twelve and all, but the kid they cast looks WAY younger than that. If I'd have seen him out of costume, I would SWEAR that he's maybe eight years old, at the most. Now that I think about it, I wasn't all that happy about who they cast for Zuko, too, but maybe that's why I'm not in the film production business. I'm trying to keep an open mind for this.
...then again, I tried to keep an open mind for the Dragonball movie, too, but that flopped worse than a fat kid at a water park. Hehe, gross mental image. For anyone that doesn't know, the preview for The Last Airbender will be shown with Transformers 2. THAT movie looks promising.

I was skeptical about Transformers too. I'm a girl and I'm not big into the whole mech/robot culture, but when ~ReigningFyre made me watch it, I loved it. Especially the graphics. I can't wait to see them top themselves with the next one. The previews look good. I think I'm going to have to re-watch the first one just to make sure that I know what's going on; I only saw it ONCE after all.
I need to re-read Half-Blood Prince too, so I can properly critique and criticize the movie when it comes out. I'll probably end up seeing the first midnight showing with my sister in Imax. Sounds like a bundle of fun!

On the movie tangent, did anyone see 'Up!'? I LOVED it. To death. It has plot, good graphics, and a great character set. But, I'll stop there so I don't spoil anything for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. But if you haven't and you intend to, just cough up the extra money and see it in 3D. Totally worth an extra $3.

Sorry that I'm rambling, but I'm very bored. I'll just leave it at that and call it a night.
Peace, ya'll.
